The Rev. Rachel C. Thompson is a 2015 graduate of Duke Divinity School, where she enjoyed the benefits of studying under world class biblical scholars, fell in love with the Reformed tradition, and discerned a call to ministry. Prior to her time at Duke, Rachel did her undergraduate work at Furman University, where she majored in Classics and Sociology. After graduating from seminary, Rachel spent a year working as a chaplain in the Heart Center at Duke University Hospital. She joined the staff at Second Presbyterian in June of 2016. Her parents and younger brother still live and work in her hometown of Arlington, VA.
