The
Kittye Susan Trent Fund
Brochure (pdf)
Proposal Form (pdf)
The Kittye Susan Trent Fund was established at Second Presbyterian
Church through the bequest by John B. Trent in loving memory of
his beloved daughter, Kittye Susan Trent. The objective of the Fund
is to supplement, enrich, enhance and augment stewardship resources
in support of the Church's education missions.
In addition, funds may be used for operating support
and/or equipment and facilities and/or for endowment. The Fund also
seeks to enhance the educational opportunities available to church
members through seminars, speakers and scholarship opportunities
that complement the church's educational programs. In addition,
the Fund may award grants to seminaries, colleges and universities,
conferences, camps, centers and other institutions that offer Christian
education. The Fund will not normally entertain requests for financial
support from individual seminary students. The Fund, however, may
grant funds to benevolent programs and projects, especially those
with an experiential education component that takes seriously Christ's
command to love one another and to help meet the needs of others.
A committee appointed by the Session meets quarterly the first
week in April, June, September and December to consider uses and
review requests for support and make disbursement recommendations
to the Session.
