Will of Edward R. Johnson dated 6/12/1959 Edward R. and Edith Johnson Scholarship Fund Provides in whole or in part for the college or postgraduate education of a student or students preparing for ministerial or other religious works and endeavors. Second Presbyterian Church Trustees (Requests go to Executive (as of 1/23/01) committee for recommendation.  Once passed by Session, request is made to Trustees for check.) 1998/1999 provided scholarships to Rev. Paul G. Johnson.  2001-2003 scholarship to Rev. Bill Hawkins. 2005 scholarship to Dan Fassio. $110,278 held in trust.   $46,747 available
12/1995 by Barton and Margaret Morris William R. Klein Continuing Education Endowment Provide greater opportunities for continuing education; cover cost of extraordinary educational experiences for professional preaching and teaching staff. Session and Pastor (Personnel Committee is asked to recommend – effective 1/26/05) George’s trip to Scotland in 2005.  Nancy's trip to Scotland in 2008.  Jeff's trip to Stockholm in 2008. $51,080 held in trust.  $4,730 available.

October 1978 Second Presbyterian Church Fund, Inc. (quasi endowment fund) (This fund is not a fund of the Session.) For the uses and purposes of Second Presbyterian Church or for the uses and purposes of such other institutions, organizations, religious congregations or corporations as may be engaged in promoting or carrying on religious, charitable, benevolent, educational, or literary purposes. Five Second Fund Directors elected by the Session.                      Session asks; Directors approve expenditure. Purchase of house and land at 917 Third Street to provide additional meeting space; purchase of land at  215 Mountain Avenue to provide additional parking.  Replace boiler, kitchen equipment, sound systems, handicap access doors and parking lot re-grading.  Handicap bathroom project 2006.  Purchase of house at 305 Highland for youth meeting space 2008. $1,938,558   $63,559 available this year after house purchase and paying commitments.  Distribution formula:  5% of 3 year rolling average of year end value or 60% of income if fund down for 3 years.
2004 Will of John B. Trent, Jr. Kittye Susan Trent Fund Educational Programs and Scholarships Trent Fund Committee –> Finance Committee –> Session. Christian Ed programs and ministries as determined by the Trent Fund Committee. $1,912,908 $119,486 available.  Distribution formula:  5% of 3 year rolling average of year end value.  To be reviewed annually by the Finance Committee.
May 2008 TIFF Fund Multi-Asset Fund (TIFF – The Investment Fund for Foundations) Provides a multi-asset no-load mutual fund for the corpus of the Designated Funds (with the exception of the Second Fund.) Designated Funds Oversight Committee Growth for the benefit of the Designated Funds (with the exception of the Second Fund.) ($2,200,000 included with Designated Funds.)
