About the painting:
The descending dove, the holy spirit, merges with the symbol of the cross and radiates light. This light of forgiveness of one human to another, and God's grace and forgiveness of us, triumphs over darkness .

The 2007 Lectures with Dr. N.T. Wright

realsmall The First Lecture: "Apocalyptic and the Beauty of God"

real The Second Lecture: "The Gospel and Our Culture"

On March 15, 2007, we welcomed internationally renowned biblical scholar Dr. N.T. Wright as our Edmunds lecturer. Dr. Wright is Bishop of Durham, England, and author of more than 30 books, including The Last Word and The Meaning of Jesus, co-authored with Marcus Borg. He taught New Testament studies for twenty years at Cambridge, McGill, and Oxford Universities. He has been featured on ABC News, Dateline, and Fresh Air.

Many consider N.T. Wright, our 2007 Edmunds Lecturer, to be the most influential New Testament scholar at work today. Dr. Wright fully came to international prominence with his debate with members of the Jesus Seminar. He has taught at Cambridge, McGill University, and Oxford. He became Dean of Lichfield in 1994 and Canon Theologian of Westminster Abbey in 2000.

Some of Wright's books are for a scholarly audience, but some are for the people of the pew. He has begun a series (Mark for Everyone, Luke for Everyone, Paul for Everyone, etc.) that some say will set him apart as the William Barkley of this generation.
